Pupil Premium
- At Five Elms Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that teaching and learning meets the needs of all our children and that appropriate provision is made for pupils in vulnerable groups. This also includes ensuring that the needs of socially disadvantaged pupils (FSM) are identified and strategies put in place to narrow the gap in their attainment.
Funding Allocation
The pupil premium grant (PPG) provides funding for raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities to reach their potential. Funding is allocated for pupils in year groups reception to year 6 recorded as Ever 6 free school meals (FSM currently or at any point in the last six years) as well as eligible children with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) pupils in these year groups - £1,345 per pupil. £2,345 for any Looked-after-children (LAC).For 2021 to 2022 our allocation is £184,462. This includes recovery Premium funding allocation of £19,027 for this academic year.
Provision
The funding will focus on the provision and implementation of individual and small group support in reading, writing and maths and the extension of first hand experiences in order to support, enhance and develop learning across the curriculum.
Measuring impact
We aim to raise and improve pupils’ progress and achievement, wellbeing and attitude towards learning, attendance and punctuality. Progress will be monitored by tracking results at the end of autumn and spring terms and in June.
