What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy aims to reduce distress and improve social, emotional and mental health using creativity. It promotes insight, self-compassion and a sense of agency and self-worth.
During art therapy, you will be supported by Miss Farmer to use art to express and articulate often complex thoughts and feelings through art making.
Staff are able to refer children for Art Therapy in school. Parents will be consulted and asked for permission before their child commences this therapeutic support.
If you have any questions about Art therapy, please contact Miss Farmer who is our resident Art Therapist.
