Remote Learning At Five Elms Primary School
Since March 2020, the need for and the expectations placed on remote education have changed considerably. Remote education at Five Elms is available for children who are absent from school for exceptional circumstances see the school Attendance Policy. Remote education allows absent pupils to keep on track with their education and stay connected to their teachers and peers. Five Elms Primary Provides remote education through the use of digital solutions. Children are able to use various digital technologies, to continue their learning online. Staff still continue to set daily work on Google Classroom. We do encourage parents to continue to support pupils with their class learning at home or during periods of recovery from sickeness. Our staff communicate with children via the Google stream, they work with children to find out how they are doing with their work and provide them with advice on their next steps.
For more information about how to access Google class, watch the video below.
We are mindful that not all of our families will have access to technology. We have 1:1 iPad provision. Children are able to borrow a school iPad to continue to work from home.
